We connect prospective home buyers, sellers, and renters with residential property listings, automated valuation estimates, and independent licensed real estate professionals throughout the United States.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information to provide, maintain, and optimize our real estate discovery services:

A. Information You Voluntarily Provide

  • Account Registration & Google Sign-In: When you register or sign in via Google OAuth, we receive and store your full name, email address, profile avatar image, and unique account identifier.
  • Real Estate Inquiries & Tour Requests: When you schedule a tour, submit an inquiry, or request a home valuation, we collect your name, email address, telephone number, preferred contact time, and any custom message.
  • Saved Properties & Preferences: When signed in, we store your saved homes, saved searches, hidden listings, and search filter parameters in our secure database.

B. Information Collected Automatically

  • Device and Usage Information: Technical details including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, time stamps, and interactions with listing cards and map components.
  • Location Information: General, non-precise geographic region (such as city or state) inferred from your IP address to prioritize relevant local property listings.

3. How We Use Information

We utilize the collected information for the following legitimate business purposes:

  • Operating, maintaining, and personalizing the Dolly platform and search experiences.
  • Delivering property search results, map visualizations, and algorithmic Dolly Estimate calculations.
  • Connecting you with authorized licensed real estate agents or brokerages when you request a showing or submit an inquiry.
  • Sending transactional service communications, including account confirmation, welcome emails, and essential security notices via Resend.
  • Preventing malicious activity, fraudulent inquiries, security breaches, and enforcing our Terms of Service.

5. Sharing of Personal Information

Notice: We do NOT sell your personal information to data brokers or third parties for monetary or commercial consideration.

We share personal information strictly as described below:

  • Licensed Real Estate Agents & Brokers: When you submit a property inquiry, schedule a home tour, or submit a sell valuation request, we transmit your name, email, phone number, and message directly to the designated real estate professional.
  • Authentication Services: Google OAuth facilitates secure, passwordless authentication.
  • Transactional Email Providers: We use Resend to deliver account creation confirmations, welcome emails, and platform notices.
  • Map and Media Infrastructure: We incorporate OpenStreetMap tiles for geospatial map navigation and Unsplash for illustrative media.
  • Payment Processors: For current or upcoming paid services, payments are processed directly by Stripe. Stripe collects and handles payment card credentials according to PCI-DSS standards; Dolly never stores full payment card numbers.
  • Legal & Protection Obligations: We may disclose information if required by subpoena, court order, or applicable government regulation to safeguard the safety, property, or legal rights of our users or the public.

6. Cookies & Similar Technologies

We use strictly necessary and functional cookies and local browser storage (such as dolly_lang for language preference and session tokens for authentication state). These technologies ensure smooth navigation, remember your filters, and maintain your login state. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings; however, disabling cookies may impact platform functionality.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account remains active or as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy. Inactive accounts and associated saved data are periodically reviewed and deleted or anonymized in accordance with applicable statutory retention requirements.

The Dolly platform is strictly designed for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect, solicit, or maintain personal information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in relevant jurisdictions). 11. International Users & US Data Hosting

Our services and database servers are located and operated exclusively in the United States. If you access Dolly from outside the United States, please be aware that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the US, where privacy laws may differ from those in your home jurisdiction.

We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. When updates are published, the “Effective Date” at the top of this document will be updated. Your continued use of Dolly following any amendments constitutes your agreement to the updated terms.
